Health Services
Government provided, through two tranches of funding, $4.26 million for health services for North Canterbury and Marlborough families.
The health service funding covers free GP visits, development of the All Right? website for psychosocial health, support for schools and support for the rural health and Rural Support Trusts, as well as Navigators. Relevant DHBs have also reprioritised their existing budgets to provide extra services and NGOs have contributed significantly.
The Ministry of Health provided a $2 million injection of funds to help Kaikōura pay off Council debt on their health centre.
